Abstract:
A marching procedure for solving the finite difference equations describing inviscid, subsonic, compressible flow in an axisymmetric duct is described. The concept of artificial viscosity is introduced and special provisions for maintaining continuity are included. The method predicts the pressure and velocity distributions at any axial station in the duct. A computer program and several sample results are also presented and discussed. Author
