Abstract:
ENT 70483-Ga Glidden-Durkee GD-783, commercially discrete structure, a candidate repellent, was evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for its potential to cause skin irritation. The data obtained serves as a basis for making a recommendation concerning its potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of this compound. Based upon the interpretation of this test, ENT 70483-Ga should be used only on human skin found by examination to have no abrasions or may be used as a clothing impregnant. If the compound might come in contact with abraded skin, a prophetic patch test should be conducted on human skin to determine primary irritation potential. Author
