The work was concerned with the complete investigation and feasibility demonstration of superconducting inductive energy storage systems capable of producing high power pulses in the 200 microsecs range on a reptitive basis. The system studied was a 100 kJ system. A 15 kJ model system was successfully tested. Also, as part of the program, a complete investigation of switches appropriate for short pulse inductive energy storage systems was made. The investigation led to the preliminary development of a multiple contact high speed switch which was successfully tested in model size. Modified author abstract
