The main factors that should be considered for a DMSPSM are a the input, output, and maintenance requirements of the data base b a specification of the data problem c a logical file representation of the data base d a complete description of the data management systems to be considered and e a detailed description of the computer systems that the DMS is to reside in. The main emphasis of this model DMSPSM is that the data problem description or specification is the basis for developing the output of the model.
