Abstract:

This chapter presents a detailed summary of the principles and problems involved in the digital computer analysis of electrocapillary data. The principle of the moving polynomial technique is introduced. Methods of data rejection are considered. Methods of differentiation of electrocapillary data as a function of electrode potential or chemical potential of solution components are considered. The use of run statistics as a criterion for cut off of repeated smoothing is discussed in detail and extended run statistics tables are included.
