Abstract:

A FORMAC FORmula MAnipulation Compiler program is documented and illustrative examples are given. The program is used to derive exact solutions of the matrix equation AX B where A and B may depend on parameters not on elements of X. A modification of Cramers Rule is used to define the solution. Provision is made in the program to perform manipulative operations on the solution, if desired. A listing of the program is provided. Author
