Abstract:

Since polymers which contain carbonyl groups may decompose under the influence of light either to give a free radical split Norrish Type I or a split to two complete molecules Norrish Type II and the former may lead to a long chain reaction, several types of carbonyl polymers have been studied Polycaprolactone, Polyvinylacetate, Polyacrylic acid. The report summarizes the authors research on this topic.
