Abstract:
Various experiments such as susceptibility, resistivity, magnetoresistance, thermoelectric power and specific heat, were performed on selected alloy systems, both dilute and concentrated. Results were obtained, some of them useful in testing existing theory, and others instrumental in prompting further theoretical work on Kondo systems and on spin fluctuations. The work on concentrated alloys showed clear evidence for the existence of giant magnetic clusters, and recent theoretical work has accounted for these measurements in terms of intra- and inter-cluster interactions.
