Abstract:

The mutual shielding effects of occupants in a typical residential home against fallout radiation were calculated using the SAM-CE three-dimensional Monte Carlo code. Absorbed dose in the gut area of the human body were determined under conditions of different density space-per-person, number of occupants, Position standing, sitting, or prone and physical location within the basement.
