Creep properties of an aligned Ag3Mg-AgMg eutectic alloy have been determined as a function of growth speed and degree of long range order in the Ag3Mg phase. Apparent activitation energies for steady state creep were determined and compared with those for the constituent phases. Long range order reduces creep rate of the eutectic finer interlamellar spacings produce a similar effect. Fractographic features of creep-rupture specimens are discussed. Author
