Measurements of the outgoing thermal radio emission on the Kosmos-243 artifical earth satellite have made it possible to determine the distribution of the integral water-vapor content in the atmosphere over the oceans. The study shows, on the basis of satellite measurements, that data can be obtained concerning the vertical distribution of specific moisture content as a function of altitude if a priori information in the form of statistical characteristics is used.
