Pagination or Media Count:
A new area for experimental and theoretical studies has opened in recent years in which physical and mechanical more often hydrodynamic phenomena are tightly interwoven and which can, with full justification, be applied to the material of this review. The report refers to the physical and, more specifically, the mechanical effects occurring as a result of the interaction between powerful laser beams and various substances gases, opaque solids, and transparent solid and liquid media. The authors discuss briefly the results of studies conducted by Soviet authors in this field.
