The threshold of sensitivity of a laser gyroscope can be lowered by the static displacement of the instrument characteristics. This can be accomplished by using the Zeeman effect. The method includes the imposition of a constant magnetic field onto an active medium. This leads to the appearance of frequency fo at a point where the value of the measured angular velocity v 0. The magnitude and sign of v are determined by comparing the values of the current fp and initial fo frequencies. The purpose of this article is to study the use of the dependence fp in the presence of fo upon field intensity H and the parameters of the laser gyroscope.
