The Consumers' Opinions of the Food Service System: The 1973 Travis Air Force Base Survey
ARMY NATICK LABS MA
Pagination or Media Count:
Opinions were elicited from 690 enlisted personnel at Travis AFB to determine many elements related to food service, including the backgroup characteristics of the samples, their meal patterns, which factors are influencing non-utilization of the dining facilities, their evaluation of the quality of food, the quantity, the variety, and several other non-food features. The results indicated among other things that the traditional assumption of 21 meals per week is invalid, implying that another method of determining utilization rates must be adopted. Eight additional recommendations for the Travis AFB Food Service System are presented.
