A summary is given of the results up to February 1973 obtained under Contracts F30602-71-C-0357 and F30602-72-C-0486 regarding the behavior of laser beams in turbulent air. It appears important to make a distinction between focused and other beams. Amplitude scintillations appear to be unimportant in the former. Angle-of-arrival power spectra have been computed for a simple interferometer and these also contain the temporal information of focal-spot fluctuations.
