The report studies the effects of natural forces such as wind, wave motion, currents, temperature and other physical, chemical and biological factors, on a movement b dispersal and c destruction, of treated and untreated oil at sea and in the inter-tidal zone. Specifically, it covers behavior from the point of discharge and subsequent movement whatever the physical form of the oil, includes physical effects such as spreading, evaporation, emulsification and dissolution, and embraces photochemical and biological factors causing degradation.
