Abstract:

Two methods for measuring the temperature coefficient of delay of surface acoustic waves on a ceramic substrate are presented. Temperature coefficients were measured for a conventional surface wave delay line, and a delay line employing interdigitally poled transducers. Temperature dependence of the bandwidth, center frequency, and coupling coefficient were determined for an interdigitally poled transducer fabricated on a commercially available ceramic. Author
