Abstract:

Decreasing the length of the unit in certain design variations of the escape track of ship turbines one-way steam feed to the low-pressure turbine and reverse turbine can necessitate the positioning of the reverse turbine steam feed tubes near the exit edges of the rotor blades of the low-pressure turbines final stage. However, this brings about an emf drop in the final stage and the appearance of a vibration pulse directed upstream. A reliable evaluation of this effect in the face of complex flow conditions behind the final stage is complicated. For this purpose a special apparatus was designed and built which allows the steam feed tube to the reverse turbine to move along the axis and around the periphery. The modeling scale for the TS-3 unit was 14.5. In order to obtain exhaustive results, the effect of three tube sizes was studied.
