The report presents two computer solutions for predicting the equilibrium configuration of single point moored surface and subsurface buoy systems set in planar flow. The method of solution presented by W. D. Martin 1968 has been expanded to account for more complex surface systems and to include subsurface cases. The first section of the report is an introduction to the theoretical concepts and assumptions considered by the computer solutions. The second section outlines in detail the integration and iteration procedures and the programs logic. The introduction of actual physical parameters is reviewed in the next section. The last section gives a detailed set of instructions for the program users, reviews the programs capabilities and limitations, and presents a number of case studies. The programs are written for use with XEROX SIGMA 7 computers. Complete listings for the two programs are given in the appendix. Author
