Pagination or Media Count:
The productive Intermediate maintenance man-hours per month available from the active Destroyer Tender force was compared to likely intermediate Maintenance man-hour workloads required by the proposed PF fleet. It was found that the PF fleet will absorb, as extreme values, between 10 and 30 of tender capacity, with the most likely values falling between 15 and 26. In addition, the ability of the tender to perform required work within the limited time period of a PF intermediate level maintenance availability was found to be adequate. A graph to determine intermediate maintenance workload for the PF fleet as a function of the workload generated by the PF and the Organizational Level maintenance man-hours available is given, assuming that intermediate and organizational maintenance man-hours are interchangeable.
