Abstract:
A detailed look is taken at the command and control structure of the National Guard as it pertains to the fifty-two Adjutants General. An analysis is given of the selection process of the Adjutants General within the prerequisites of the fifty-two applicable state laws. A review and analysis is made of the Adjutants General in a sequence of, what are they how did they get appointed to the office who are they and what do they do. The answers to these questions are extracted for the fifty-two appropriate State Laws, current biographical sketches of the incumbent Adjutants General, and an informational questionnaire provided by the present fifty-two Adjutants General.
