Abstract:
The first monograph is a montage of the total legal services available in the military services. Data were gathered through interviews with division chiefs and others in the Office of The Judge Advocate General of the Army, a literature search, and the authors experience. In the second monograph, it is concluded that vindictiveness has no redeeming qualities, that there is only limited applicability of the deterrence and protection theories in the military society, and that rehabilitation is practically nonexistent in installation confinement facilities.
