Abstract:

Units are emphasized at the expense of individuals in the Army reserve. The fact that we have a highly mobile society is being ignored. The more mobility we desire in a reserve unit, the less mobility we get. This raises serious doubts about the capability of units to move in an emergency. The Army now discriminates against mobile individuals. This Liability for Mobility must be removed. Programs to enhance the role of the mobile American should be established. Author
