Abstract:

The paper extends some nonlinear programming techniques recently developed for the modular design problem to handle general nonlinear programs. The approach retains a basis restricted solution throughout and is shown to be an extension of the convex-simplex method to the case of nonlinear programs with nonlinear constraints. Author
