Abstract:

The program was carried out to investigate the possibility of using FEP TeflonR as a transparent solder to hold the laser disk and, YLF doped with Ho3 in a sliced laser configuration to obtain high average power at two micrometers. The results are summarized. The design of the disk laser and fabrication and testing of the laser are presented.
