Abstract:
An experimental investigation into the dynamic plastic behavior of some metal shell intersections is reported herein. The models consist of a cylindrical nozzle intersecting a hemispherical shell which is subjected to a uniformly distributed internal impulsive velocity field. The magnitude of the initial kinetic energy of the dynamic load is sufficient to cause inelastic behavior and small permanent displacements. Author
