Education and Library Services for Community Information Utilities,
RAND CORP SANTA MONICA CALIF
Pagination or Media Count:
In order to more fully describe education and library services, a feasible configuration is described. In the home, the Utility would manifest itself to the user as a variation of the television set. The crucial difference, of course, is that communication is two-way. The person desiring Utility services may be singly or simultaneously connected to a source of television programs, a computer, or any of the organizations such as a library with which he might wish to transact business. Institutional, social, and psychological effects are discussed. Portions of this document are not fully legible.
