Abstract:

The report describes a procedure for the evaluation of proposed improvements in the capabilities of a strike support system for providing near real time information. This system is the carrier-based information system which supports air strikes against land targets by the carrier-based aircraft. The procedure yields the value of the information system improvements in terms of the corresponding expected increase in the achievement of the supported strike. The report presents in detail the analysis of the information improvements corresponding to the proposed system changes and the analysis of the cost of the improvements in terms of strike capability displaced from the carrier.
