The fourth volume of the Exploding Wires series, like its predecessors, contains the proceedings of a Conference on the Exploding Wire Phenomenon, the fourth, held in Boston in October of 1967. The volume contains papers on the relation of shock waves and exploding wires or uses, particularly as exploding bridge wires on chemical reactions induced by wire explosions and on the general theory of the wire explosion itself. In addition, several new areas are covered. There are two papers on the resistivity-density relation in wire explosions. There are papers on the use of lasers and also on the use of x-rays for the study of exploding wires. Spectroscopy as applied to wire explosions is discussed in four papers. Author Modified Abstract
