Abstract:
Polyvinyl chloride linoleums, manufactured according to the usual recipes, contain plasticizers. The introduction of plasticizers into linoleum compositions plays a positive role in their treatment process, since this permits it to be carried out at temperatures below the polyvinyl chloride decomposition temperature. However, such plasticizers, remaining in the manufactured linoleum, cause an increase in its viscous flow under load. In this connection, polyvinyl chloride linoleums without a base, produced by domestic industry according to standard recipes cannot be used under hot or subtropical climatic conditions. Displacement of polymer chains can be reduced by means of modifying them by use of polymerizable oligomers PO.The authors conclude that the viscous flow coefficient of PVC linoleum can be reduced. The effects of various plasticizers on this viscosity is presented especially MGF-9, methacrylicbis triethylene glycol phthalate.
