Abstract:

The possibility is shown of obtaining high-quality spherical granules from alloys on different bases and with different specific gravity. In the example of titanium alloys an essential increase in strength properties at room and elevated temperatures as a result of granulation is established. The manufacture of composite materials on a base of granulated titanium of the type alloy - alloy, reinforced and dispersion-strengthened is possible. The prospect is shown for the manufacture of the above-mentioned composite materials for the purpose of increasing the operating temperatures, strength properties, and creep resistance of titanium alloys.
