Abstract:
3-48MICROWAVE OSCILLATORS, AVALANCHE DIODES, RELIABILITYELECTRONICS, PHASE LOCKED SYSTEMS, PERFORMANCEENGINEERINGIMPATT DIODESThe report deals with a theoretical and experimental study of subharmonically injection locked microwave IMPATT diode oscillators which was conducted with the intent of improving the frequency stability, noise characteristics and modulation characteristics of the oscillators. Included in the report are sections on subharmonic locking theory, measurement techniques, and on the experimental results obtained. The final section of the report presents a summary of the results obtained and the conclusions derived from the study. In this section a broad introduction into IMPATT diodes is presented along with a review of the pertinent literature.
