Phase III of Project Gulf Q was conducted from 24 May through 18 June 1971 at Brownsville, Texas. The primary objectives were to 1 characterize warm cumulus clouds and the meteorological conditions which cause them to form, 2 gather data for use in developing warm cumulus computer simulation models, and 3 document the effects of modifying warm cumulus clouds with hydrophilic and hydrophobic powders.
