Field tests were conducted on warm fogs in the Panama Canal Zone using glycerine as the dispersal agent. The tests demonstrated that finely divided glycerine 5-100 micrometer diameter droplets has the capability of dispersing warm fogs. Six tests were conducted on natural fogs varying in depth from 600 to 1500 feet MSL. Glycerine, heated to 65C to reduce viscosity, was sprayed into the tops of fogs on six occasions. Results from all six tests proved this technique effective in dispersing fog. Author Modified Abstract
