Solutions of quaternary ammonium slats in polymeric materials exhibit unusually high temperature coefficients of electrical conductivity. Experiments are described which indicate that conduction might be produced through a combination of electronic and ionic mechanisms. The materials studied show promise as throw-away thermistors. The results shed some light on the mode of behavior of the recently developed coated wire ion selective electrodes. Author-PL
