Abstract:
The experimental work reveals active acoustic sources from vibrating plates. The techniques used is a holographic procedure which has been especially designed to study long wavelengths emanating from an acoustic source. A detailed procedure is outlined showing the steps used to obtain the location of the acoustic sources of four vibrating plates and two speakers. The results of the increase in the interval of each scanning line demonstrates the effect on the reconstructed image, showing the feasibility of using a nine-minute scanning time as opposed to a three-hour time limit used for former work.
