Abstract:
Peptides release histamine from mast cells. Histamine releasers or histamine decrease the flow in perfused lung and cause edema. Perfusion fluids contain kininase II angiotensin I converting enzyme. Edema contains kininase I and II. Inhibition of kininase II converting enzyme of lung blocks compensatory rise in blood pressure in shocked dog by blocking angiotensin I liberation. Author
