This material has proven to be rather stress sensitive and a parallel program has begun to find minor substitutions which reduce magnetostriction. Nickel is only slightly soluble in Calvanbig, Ni 0.01 to 0.02 per formula unit, and has a marginal effect on magnetostriction and anisotropy. Substitution of Eu and Ru have stronger effects on the anisotropy properties but also increase FMR linewidth. Author
