Abstract:
The principal sources of orbital prediction errors are instrumental errors, neglected geodetic effects and unpredictable atmospheric variations. The geodetic effects are estimated in the paper. These include estimates of the first few terms of the expression for the earths gravitational field, and estimates of the expected residual geodetic errors in certain broad areas of the world. Author
