Abstract:

To investigate the effect of energy on rock fragmentation, a drop test device was designed and constructed. Ninety specimens each of 3.0 to 3.5 inch size specimens of anorthosite and Wausau quartzite were fragmented in this device. Analysis of energy limitations of this device and test results are given.
