Apparent 7-Day Period in Visibility Data at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

A success was classified as a day during which two consecutive visibility observations were recorded, and the surface wind speed was less than 5 msec for at least 12 hours prior to the visibility observation, and the relative humidity was less than 50. These criteria were employed to minimize the influence of dust generated by locally high winds, and to reduce the influence of relative humidity in increasing atmospheric particulate concentration or size.
