A model of the transducer structure was developed and used to predict performance characteristics. Good agreement with experiment was observed. Two demonstration devices, a delay line and a filter, with approximately 25 flat bandpass response were designed and built using tapered transducers on YZ-lithium niobate. Recommandations for future work are made on the basis of the overall results of the program. Author
