An analysis of the thermoelectric effects on the solid-liquid phase boundary was carried out. The contribution of Peltier heat to the thermoelement heat balance was evaluated. Semiconductors, in which the thermoemf and Peltier coefficient either increase or change slightly, during transition from the solid to the liquid state, are more promising for use in a thermoelement.
