The inelastic buckling of eccentrically loaded simply supported columns of rectangular and circular cross sections is analyzed. The material of the column is assumed to satisfy Ramberg-Osgoods stress-strain relation. The load-carrying-capacity of the column is calculated by an iterative procedure for wide ranges of the geometry of the column and the eccentricity of the applied load. Author
