Abstract:

Considering the conditions of delivery and storage of food products at Soviet Antarctic stations, it is necessary from the very first months of the stay to increase the vitamin content of the food. It is considered that the daily requirement for vitamin C during the polar night is not less than 150 mg per day, and rises to 200 mg per day during periods of intensive work outdoors during the polar day.
