The non-acoustic but nevertheless oscillatory combustion of composite solid propellants was studied with burners in which L could be increased or decreased during the course of a firing. A modular theory is suggested, and simplified for application to the data generated. Low-frequency, low-amplitude oscillations not characteristic of the propellant only. Author
