A two-axis fluidic wind sensor has undergone further development toward the goal of providing a no-moving-part, self-contained wind measuring system. A pair of fluidic wind sensors provide the inputs to an electronics package which accepts the pressure signals and computes magnitude and direction from the fludic signals. Because of the importance of having a matched pair of sensors for accuracy of computation, nozzle fabrication techniques which have been pursued are discussed. A single axis version of the two-axis system was field tested, and the unit was found to be unaffected after a 15-week exposure in the Macon, Georgia area. Author
