Abstract:
Two non-intellective measures were evaluated as means for predicting performance in the Avionics Technician Course. An experimental scale based on the Michigan State General Self-Concept of Ability to Learn SCOAL scale was found to be as good as the best measures of aptitude in predicting final average r .57. The combination of this scale and final average in a previous course with the measure of aptitude that is currently being used for predictions yielded a multiple correlation of .66. Author
