Abstract:
The report considers the problem of torsion of a bar of constant section in the shape of part of a circular ring or in the form of a circular sector. It is assumed that the material possesses cylindrical anisotropy and is orthotropic and nonhomogeneous, i.e. that the shear moduli are solely dependent on the cylindrical coordinate r. The solution is based on the assumption of the Saint-Venant torsion theory which makes it possible to satisfy strictly the conditions on the lateral surface, and to satisfy them approximately, integrally at the end faces. The stress function is sought in the form of a series which is defined explicitly for cases of power dependence of the shear moduli on the coordinate and constant moduli. Author
