Abstract:
The report presents a summary of work done on propagation through a turbulent plasma sheath. The Greens dyadic for a warm plasma sheath is presented along with its adjointness and reciprocal properties. The coherence tensor for the electric field transmitted through the sheath is given for the case of a plane wave incident on the sheath and using the Born approximation. It is shown that for the typical plasma parameters encountered during re-entry that a cold plasma model is adequate to describe the noise induced due to turbulence. Author
